Annual Short Film Showcase

September 2023 marked the launch of our first showcase at the GFT, powered by the 2023 Write Start Creative Commission.

Designed to challenge the barriers facing new filmmakers, the event exists to back emerging filmmakers, celebrate indie work, and actively build opportunities for new voices in the industry.

For our inaugural sold-out showcase at the historic Glasgow Film Theatre, we partnered with UK charity Create! to raise funds alongside the event. Thanks to our incredible community, over £800 was raised through ticket sales and donated directly to the organisation.
